Cocoa Cottage Bed and Breakfast new website!

Cocoa Cottage Bed and Breakfast launches new website!

It has been a wonderfully crazy couple of months here at the Cocoa Cottage Bed and Breakfast in Whitehall Michigan building our new website. Between traveling out of state to the best New Years Eve wedding ever and digging out from yet another record breaking year of snow we are thrilled to have it live! Very special Thanks! to all who helped to make it a reality-You are the best! What do you think of it? is full of new, bold images that showcase what the Cocoa Cottage Bed and Breakfast has built it’s reputation upon: Great food, classic Arts and Crafts style of design and architecture and Chocolate! The bold photos are fun and informative and for Lisa, they feed her soul.

The simple, streamlined and easy to follow navigation is all in one place. No need to bounce all around your screen. One clean white column on the right, find everything you need at the Cocoa Cottage Bed and Breakfast.

In collaboration with our new website, is a brand new online reservation system. Now, you can book multiple rooms in one reservation, add a unique getaway package, purchase gift certificates (that are instantly emailed to you) and buy your favorite flavors of Mama Tallarico’s Hot Fudge!

Based on your feedback, we have added more “before” photos of our restoration process. Boy do we look young! The quality is a little less because most were taken prior to the digital age… My how things have changed.

Along with these digital changes, we have made a few physical changes to the property as well. We had to say good-by to our majestic 100 year-old pine tree. It took a direct hit of lightening and was slowly dying. It was a sad day here, but the entire tree was recycled and reused. The branches were ground into mulch for Stu and Connie’s orchard. The main trunk was turned into lumber and any remaining parts were used for heat during this cold winter. Now we are excited to design a new landscape that will grace the Cocoa Cottage Bed and Breakfast for the next 100 years…

The North pergola garden and patio are complete and hosted several wonderful gatherings. A rehearsal dinner transformed the garden into a Texas themed BBQ with classic red and white tablecloths and sunflowers; Stepping into the Upper Peninsula was the theme for a surprise 40th birthday party filled with nostalgia, pine boughs and rustic lanterns. A Downton Abby inspired afternoon luncheon impressed the guests with vintage linens, dishes, sterling silverware and bouquets of freshly gathered hydrangeas from the Cocoa Cottage Bed and Breakfast gardens. As expected, all included awesome cuisine and chocolate!

You can take care of just about all your getaway planning directly on our new website! For those extra special reservation requests or for Lisa’s personal attention to your event planning needs, please call us at (231) 893-0674. We love talking to you directly!
